New Year's in Vegas

I have finally crossed off spending my New Year's in Las Vegas. And let me tell you it is something that I think I will never forget. I had a blast, There were 10 of us all together. We went to a sushi place which was actually pretty good, it was nice because one guy Kodai spoke Japanese and took care of us. Then we walked down the strip which was better than I was expecting for sin city, but still a lot of women were cold...ha ha I was not one of them! (modesty has it's practicalities!) We watched the fireworks in front of the Paris hotel and the Bellagio, When it struck midnight the water went up I think the highest I ever saw. One thing Las Vegas does know how to do right is put on a show, and the fireworks were no exception, I felt as if I were in a mirrored room because all of the fireworks were in sync with each other, it was spectacular. The company I was with was so much fun, we did a little bit of gambling, which I actually won, and it was nice because it went towards dinner! It was also semi fun...semi... to go through the crowds weave in and out...but it was not fun when people who brought their baby in a stroller decided to cause a traffic jam! ( I mean seriously who brings a baby to the strip on new years!? After it was all said and done... Happy New Year I am excited for the goals I am going to try and accomplish.

Christmas in the City

One of my most favorite traditions is going up to Salt Lake City during the season of Christmas. Visiting Temple Square with the wonderment of the nativity and lights, watching the Nutcracker at the Capitol Theatre, being around the hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers, and on Sunday watching the Christmas Spoken word with the Special Guests, this year was Jane Seymour and Nathan Gunn...Each year it is Spectacular and seems to get better! Merry Christmas! May the love of the Savior live in our hearts.

Time travels too fast!

I can't believe it has been six months since I finished school! So much has happened and little of it was traveling...which for my gypsy soul has been tougher than I thought. But Life is as beautiful where I am now as it would be if I were frolicking in Europe or some tropical island. One thing I have learned though, is that no matter what family comes first. The bonds that hold family together are stronger than steel, but can also be shredded in an instant as if the tie was yarn. I have high hopes for the 2012 year of many travelings to come! And even though I have had to postpone some, I am determined to get where I want to go. Good friends and family can never be replaced by an old building or a sandy beach. (though they do come in quite close!) They will always be there, but people may not. I am excited for this holiday season and the opportunity I have to be around the people who make life uplifting and positive, Cheers!!!

I love Summer, it is a time to put the school year behind and look forward to the future. Things do not always turn out the way I think they are going too, but they always turn out the way they should so that I learn and grow. IT's HERE!!! I am so excited! only one more semester and well I am done!!! It is about time...I am so excited for this holiday break...school is defiantly played its worse and I feel like I have had no big real adventures..plenty of small ones, and a wonderful thanksgiving for sure! But I am excited to see what the holiday is going to bring and if I can flitter off to somewhere exotic and adventurous.. and this post only has pictures from Halloween...how ever I should have some exciting ones on their way! I love that my life is traveling first...everything else second!

So I have been wanting to be spontaneous and just go and do something, so my roommate her boyfriend and I decided that we would just go to California and go to Disneyland!!! And then stop at the Beach. At first we had a lil bit of trouble, and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get everything together with the car situation, but it all worked out in the end. And it was SO much fun, My Mum and Brother even dropped in on us....I love Disneyland, and we were able to go on all the rides that were the best, and the lines were like not 35 minute waits, it totally made my day..week and Year and going to the beach was a bonus and so relaxing. And it didn't even cost us that much, which was the best part. This trip was defiantly was a memory maker.

It is amazing how life can seem to be going just the way you want it to, then all of the sudden BAM...the plans you had made are down the drain... And you watch as those plans slip out of your control...and now you have to make new plans. So that is exactly what I am doing making new plans. Not sure exactly what they will consist of yet, except that they will have getting a new camera and travelling in there. That is the great thing about life, if one thing doesn't work out, another opportunity will come along and present itself in a way you never expect..Life is beautiful that way.

Washington DC- What a beautiful Place! I love the feeling that is there, I love the history that is there! I ended up jonting along with my Mum and brother to Washington DC and spent some amazing time there. There is so much in our Nation's Capitol, It just makes me feel so proud to be an American, and live in America. it is strange that it had been two years since Mum and I had been there. Chase had just left on his mission, and now he is back, and we are off again! I love the opportunity I have to travel, and I want to see the world more than ever. I love learning about different cultures and seeing the history that comes with people. That is one reason I love America; we are the melting pot of the world, and every people comes together here to build a better life. And I will get pictures up...just as soon as I get some time!

I can't believe that Summer is more than almost over! It seems to have gone by so fast and yet some days it has felt as if it would never end soon enough! Much has happened this summer. In the beggining of Summer my family went to the Netherlands to visit Chase's mission and see more of Europe! If we didn't have Chase to do the talking for us, we would have gotten lost more than once...Amsterdam is an incerdible city that has lots history. The outter regions of the netherlands are also filled with rich history about how the Dutch stole the land from the sea and how the windmills are so intricate to their way of life.
For a friend's birthday there were five of us, and we went to Las Vegas and danced the night away. that city though close to where I live, still holds some of it's magic. The dance clubs, the excitment in the air as someone thinks they are going to win big...lol are all things that as a memeber of the church, I am grateful that I don't rely on that type of way to get my happiness. Though it was so much fun to spend time with my friends.
For my birthday, I was surprised with first class tickets to Maui Hawaii, what an experience that was, Hawaii is a magical place where one can forget all about the mundane of life, and enter a world full of exotic treasures. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore was so breath taking. Our room looked out into a postcard scene.
Our family was also hit by tragady, our Powder Puff, (labador dog) who was with us these past eleven years and was more like a little sister than a dog, passed away on a trip to go camping. We had her buried out on my Step-dad's ranch where she always loved to roam, and now can roam free.
Our family does better when we have animals around us, so we picked up a shih tzu puppy a month later. her name is coco and she is a joy to our family. July has seen me camping in various spots in Utah. Which is also nice to get away from the stresses that life so commonly brings. The main thing that has awed me the most is the Beauty of this Earth and how much there is to see and do. I have come to the conclusion that I want to see it all I love to see the world and more than ever I have the travel Bug! I will post pictures soon...

So it has been a while, so this post is a little bit of catch up too. I am going to miss my roommates this year more so than ever, I have had so much fun with them, and we did some crazy things lol but I am so glad that a few are going to be with me next year, and we are Seniors, that's right I am finally in my last year of school...lol took me long enough. And some of us are going on trips this summer together, but when those come I will blog about those :) This trip was to Chases mission in Nederlands, it was so beautiful, and it was so nice having Chase be able to speak with everyone. We just had a relaxing time, and saw some incredible places over there. We were able to first class, it was nice! the sleeperettes had little domes, and it was so quiet We went and saw the Tulips, and went to a few markets. There was so much water there, the Dutch people really did steal their land from the ocean. The history is quite incredible.

So this is a little out of order, because my brother has been home for a month now, but I am getting it up now. It is so nice having him home. He is such an inspiration in our family and he has grown up into a fine young man, makes me so proud to be his sister. Time flies when your having fun...Life has its ups and downs and changes...and it sure does change fast. Christmas break was so relaxing for a much needed rest from school, and it was nice to stay in the warmer part of Utah: St. George. It was fun to VISIT Salt Lake and see family and friends... and then go HOME to St. George back in the warm weather. New Years saw me in Huntington Beach California just chillin' and this past weekend for my Mum's Birthday, we were in Arizona. It was so nice to get away and just relax in the Palm Tree scene. I just wish my camera wasn't in the shop...so I have no pics this post :( sad I know. I love being able to travel at a moment's notice and just pick up and go, it totally fits my personality and helps with the stresses of school. And on a side note, my Bother is coming home in March!!! I so can't wait, 2 yrs (well 1 for me cause I saw him last summer over there in Adam) is a long long time!

I have come to the conclusion that finals are of the devil... At the beginning I always feel like..

and want to just be sick and call the whole thing off. And now that I am in all upper division classes, I am really feeling the heat, but at least I know that I am almost done...after 3 major changes, I finally made up my mind as to what I want to go into. And now I can feel the end near...so after each final is over I feel...

And I remember all the good times and things I learned....and I also remember that school is where a place where I don't have to grow up just yet...

So I guess I have a bit of rebelliousness in my personality, or my other side is coming out...I wanted to be something crazy and do something I haven't done. So I dyed my hair purple and went as a Mischievous Pixie. My roommates went as the Spice Girls minus one because Jordan who was supposed to be sporty spice had something come up at the last minute...so I was pixie spice :) It was way fun...can I just say I LOVE my roommates!

So I generally don't like posting without some kind of picture, however...today it snowed. And it was FREEZING! But I do have to say that I loved this fall, it lasted a long time, snowing at the end of October instead of the beginning. That was a real treat, because I actually got to enjoy the leaves a lot before they all blew away unlike last year when they fell off straight away. So thank you for not snowing till later in the month. I don't even mind it so much this year because it came later like it is supposed too come. The one thing that does bother me a little bit is all the Christmas in all the Stores, BEFORE Halloween, people are going to get sick of Christmas even before it comes. The music is fine, but all the decorations and stuff....I mean Come on! Speaking of Christmas music, whenever I get to this part of year, I always think of my time with Clayton up in Rockdale, and her Christmas music and it makes me smile.
Anyways, so it snowed and for the most part it did stick to the ground, but now it is all melted, it was kinda fun getting out all my winter cloths and my jackets, scarves, etc. I really enjoy my scarves and the main time I get to wear them is during the winter :) So I guess I am actaully looking forward to this Winter you could say...well sorta say.

School,School, School, that is all that has been on my mind lately. So much is going on with school. I have never had so much homework! It was nice to go to the mission reunion, and see people there. This picture is some of us that were there.

So my roommates and I decided we needed a little bit of a break. We went to a park and had a dinner there one night when we were all pretty bored, we didn't realize that the park didn't have electricity for the pavilion, so we ate in dark! It was really really fun though.
We also went down to St. George, and went to a new frozen place called Krave and spent the night down there. It was a lot of fun. These pics are from the yogurt place and the BBQ at the park.

Fall is in the air...Well not quite. General Update

Okay. So school has started, I love the Fall and the way the air get's crisp and you get to start wearing fun cloths and feel all collegiate or grown up...Ya...NO. So I get all moved into my house and meet everyone and get settled in. The weather is like MAY, it is so dang hot. I am still wearing sandals and trying to stay cool. Don't get me wrong, I love summer, but there is a time for it and during school is not one of those times. In other news, I am so excited because after three major/minor changes in school, I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and, I will finally walk out with my bachelor's degree. My classes this year are pretty good, I have to take a few gens that I didn't at the beginning(I avoided them) and for the most part just communication classes. I love this field, there are so many different options things to learn. I am loving my roommates, every year it seems that I get really good roommates. I do miss the ones from last year though, they were so much fun and had so many different things going on. I am still working but just for a few hours a week so that I don't have to drive back and forth everyday:) It is a lot of fun to be able to work with such awesome people. Mom and Alisa are getting along without me...(hard I know). And Chase is doing really well over in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he now has just a little over 6 months leftish. It is kinda odd starting school without him again, I look forward to when he gets back, then I can pick his brain for my math class I have to take :) Life is good, and hopefully fall will come soon and stay for a long time.

Nothing says summer like a vacation back east, New England to be exact. Last year we went to upper state New York and this year...New England areas. The one thing that amazes me about the east is all the trees and how the highways are surrounded by thick thick green lush, it is so beautiful. I also was amazed by the beaches, many of you may have seen paintings of beaches in the upper East, with the little white picket fence that is half falling over...yes it truly does exist. There were so many wonderful things to see. We were able to go to Plymouth and I found out that my cousin Priscilla is named after an ancestor of ours who actually sailed on the mayflower Priscilla Mullins. It was pretty exciting to know that I have such a neat heritage. The Cape was so beautiful and Nantucket was very relaxing. While there we ate lobster by the sea, oh it was SO delicious! One of the great things about traveling is studying up on the places, and then going there and being like, "oh this person really walked here, or this was so and so's house. I was in awe the whole time we were in Paul Revere's home. Another Highlight was walking the Grounds of Brown University in Rhode island and Harvard University in Cambridge. What a spirit of intelligence that runs on those grounds. I heard from a friend who put it this way, "You feel like your IQ raises by ten points just being on the grounds." Boston is Beautiful, but a Tricky city to navigate...Time to buy a GPS unit. Here are some pics to enjoy!

So no pictures this post, and I feel bad that I didn't gotten any up from Paris, my camera broke... :( but I will get some up, I just don't know when... Anyways, Things are going so good with me :) I am down here in St. George, learning of new places to hike, I joined a hiking club, and I am taking a swim class (yes I do know how to swim)...I am learning new techniques and fun things like that. My singles branch is awesome, there are some AMAZING people that I am meeting, they are all so much fun, that is where I found out about the hiking club, and the swim class. There are lots of cool places to hike around here. I also have an AMAZING job. It is a clothing store, Eccoci, they are based out of New York with European influence, and when we reach our sales goals, we get free cloths! I have gotten some GREAT stuff! My managers and the other associates are all pretty cool, and I am having fun with my hours! It has been crazy seeing a lot of my friends and some family members get married, it has been fun going to those, and I am very sad about the ones I missed. One thing that is crazy too, is that my brother, Chase is now on the down hill of his mission, he will be coming home in less than 9 months! He is such an amazing brother and it is fun to see how he is growing up. Anyways, I am planning a trip back east to see some more of the Amazing parts of America, so that will be forth coming. I hope that everyone has an AWESOME 4th of July. I love this Country, I love this Land I love my FREEDOM that I enjoy! YEAH AMERICA!!!

Catching up!

Wow! Time sure can slip by! These past weeks have been way fun, first I went down to California, visited old friends, went to Laguna Beach visited our old beach grounds, then made our way down to San Diego. The temple down there holds a special place in my heart. When I was 8/9, our stake was so excited to be in the New San Diego temple district. It was my very first open house/dedication I had gone to, and I still remember thinking this is where princesses go to get married. I love the San Diego temple! We also went shopping in Sea port Village, a great get way I remember from growing up as a kid.

Then Mothers Day came around, It was so AWESOME to speak with my Brother! His mission is one of the strictest, he could only talk for 30 minutes. But I loved being able to talk with him and hear about his accomplishments, it reminded me of when I was on my mission, and how much I cherish that time serving!

Last, my friend Janet has a friend who plays for the Cincinnati Reds, and his team was in Phoenix playing the diamond backs, she didn't want to go alone, so I went with her, It was so much fun, we saw down town Phoenix, ate lunch by the field one day, and at a place called Alice Cooper's which I highly recommend it was SO good!!! We got to see two games, and then it was time to come home! I love the warm weather and the Sun, I always feel SO alive!!!

Life is Crazy but Good!!!

So there are so many things going on in my life that could make a person go crazy(no need to go into details) but thank goodness for the good news of the Gospel, and that we can still Celebrate the life of the Savior in the Easter Holiday! Also, thank goodness for good Mom's who know how to de-stress their kids! Each weekend is like a sanctuary ( I guess in a way, a way to run from life) to get way from the things of the world. This weekend was especially nice because we went down to our Hometown in California, (Huntington Beach) and spent a few days there visiting old friends and neighbors, I am so glad that I have California roots! We also went to Disney, LA, Long Beach/the Queen Mary, one of my favorite places to visit ghosts:). I have so many good memories of growing up of these places. It is amazing how places can grow on a person, I have come to love each place I have lived in!

I got a letter from my brother this week, and it contained some pictures of the experiences he has been having in the Netherlands. He has hit his one year mark, I am having a hard time believing that he has been out that long, it still seems like just yesterday he was getting his call! I still remember how he was up at USU for his first semester, I was at SUU and My Mom and my sister Alisa, were in St. George. It was around Thanksgiving when the letter arrived, we ended up meeting at Applebee's in Salt Lake, and he opened up his call and said..."I have been called to open up the Baghdad mission...Just kidding I will be going to the Belgium Brussels Mission..." We all thought he was just kidding again! Then he goes as he was laughing, "No I am not kidding, I will be speaking Dutch!" It was such an awesome night just talking about it and seeing the excitement in his voice and face! And now he has been out for a year and is in leadership and a trainer! Time Flies!

So this week is my Spring Break!! And today is one of my favorite holidays, I LOVE St. Patty's day! Green is one of my favorite colors and I just love Shamrocks too! So this week I thought I was going to go places this week, but the weather is SO beautiful in St. George it is 75-80 degrees, I decided that I am going to RELAX here and do something different each day: Shopping, hiking, Sand hollow(if the water isn't too cold), laying out by the pool, some Gardening, star gazing, target shooting, and some other outdoor activities, who needs to travel when the weather is so fine, well I guess I did travel from cold Cedar to Beautiful St. George!

So this week was a fun one! A last minute opportunity to go to Hawaii came up, and I took it! My Mom and I went to Maui for two days, and spent 3 days in Oahu. The weather was pretty nice for the most part, and we were able to do many things: The PCC, yummy Macadamia ice cream, see the Dole Plantation and have really fresh pineapple, go to church and Yes everyone says Aloha, (That was my favorite part!) we saw the temple, Pearl Harbor, we went to the North Shore, Pali point, snorkeling in Hanauma bay and a couple of other coves, on Maui it was all Rest and Relaxation on the beach! We had a lot of fun, and I got an amazing black pearl necklace to add to my collection!

Las Vegas!!!

I love this place, it is SO nice to get out from all the stress of school and life and get out of town, and when I say town I mean town! Las Vegas is nice right now because of the GREAT deals that are going on. Just watch out for which pools are closed... We stayed at the Monte Carlo, and unfortunately, the pool was closed :(. However thank-goodness for friends and family that have pools down there so we weren't too saddened by the experience! I am SO excited for spring, I think that it can't get here fast enough. The weather was perfect down there! We went to the Rain Forest Cafe, which ended up being delicious and I would highly recommend it to anyone, we had eaten their before down in Down Town Disney, but that was a few years back. It is kinda like the Mayan, up in Provo, but without the divers. The other thing that is nice about Vegas is that there is ALWAYS shopping that can be done and there are always fun places to look at! Though I do have to say that I am not impressed with the new city center it looks like a brick could knock it down if thrown...I am more European in style, and so those are my favorite Casino's to visit!

Vancouver Canada

These pictures are long past due...They are of the trip my family took up to Vancouver Canada (aka The Banana Belt) where we lived when me and my sister Alisa were kids. It is so beautiful up here. And it hardly ever snows up there let alone a few feet, but seeing Stanley park all covered in snow was so pretty! We had fun going to Stanley Park and seeing old friends, shopping in Canada is AMAZING! Downtown is so much fun to shop and sight see. We were there during Boxing day..if you don't know what boxing day is, you are missing out!! They put EVERYTHING on Sale! It is a Shopahalic's DREAM, and the fact that it is in Canadian makes it that much better :) Enjoy!

25 Random things about Me

I saw this on my friend's blog and thought it would be fun to do! So if you want to be tagged...you're now it and have to put down 25 random things about yourself on your blog.

1- Walt Disney is my Hero!(Though I am not overly Disney) I love how Walt still brings happiness to people's lives. I love Disneyland I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count on both hands and toes which is to say A LOT. My goal is to visit Euro Disney in Paris one day.

2- I love nice cars and a Good truck. I actually get crushes on trucks and nice cars. I want to own a Dodge 2500 dual cab, and BMW 320 or something to that effect. Something fast and something that can handle rough terrain.

3-I love a good book, but I am picky about my selection, I like the classics and a good adventure the best.

4-Fast cars and loud music are pretty soothing to my soul, I don't know what it is about going for a drive with loud music, (Depending on my mood, the loud music can be anything from Classical to country to Hardcore Hip-hop)There is something intoxicating about it.

5- I love jewelry! Gold Jewelry is the my favorite type. Pearls especially Black , diamonds, Emeralds are so Beautiful and one day I am going to own an Alexandrite, because they can change all the time.

6-I LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel, and see new places The thrill of seeing a place for the first time... or the tenth, WOW! My favorite places to go are places that are green with lots of Gardens. My goal is to travel to at least 20 different countries.

7-Contrary to Most people's fear, I enjoy public Speaking, I like the adrenaline rush, and the attention that I get in that setting.

8-I am not afraid to die, I only have one life to live, I had better make it worth it. So I try to enjoy but I still am a little cautious, not need to cause my death either.

9- I can't stand Gossip, nothing ever good comes from it. It is like tar, it just makes everything ugly, sticky and smelly and who wants to be around someone that is like that? Not me!

10- I enjoy learning new things, Though I prefer a good dialog rather than learning out of a how too book. Though that just goes for school subjects. With hobbies I have no qualms about extracting info from a book or the internet.

11- Nature Never ceases to amaze me, whether it is clouds, rivers, storms, trees, animals, Oh and Stars on a crisp cold night...it all is SO amazing!! It always takes my breathe away

12- Flowers are a part of my being. I grew up in a flower shop, hence they are part of who I am. I love to Garden and miss California Gardens the most. St. George has nothing on California Greens

13- I HATE the cold. Snow is only fun to Play in and visit then to leave. Snow is SO messy then there is the salt...Lets just say that for me, living in the Heat is the better way to go

14- I believe that there is some truth to the Zodiac, I am a Gemini, and some of the things I have read about are so true and really explain my personality

15- I lived in Canada when I was a kid.

16- Early American History fascinates me, I can read all the books on how America came to be and still not be tired of the subject.

17- I have learned from personal experience that a few good people can make all the difference

18- Camping, fishing,hiking, skeet shooting are all activities I enjoy, though I am not great at them, and sometimes get bored with the fish. I still enjoy doing those activities, cause they are fun.

19- I have a horrible memory (it comes with being blonde) Sometimes when I am leaving to go somewhere I have to go back into the house two or three times because I forgot one thing or another.

20- I like to watch Hockey, football, basketball, pro baseball, most sports are fun though I don't have many favorite teams and plays/rules have to sometimes be explained more than once. But the thrill of a game and the excitement in the air is So much fun

21- My favorite colors are Forest Green, Fairy pink and pastel yellow.

22-I love Perrier (sparkling water) in any flavor

23- It takes a lot to get me angry, but then when I am I have a really bad temper, I am working on this one cause I usually say things I regret later.

24- I have three favorite seasons, Spring, Summer, Fall. The fourth is only good because of the holidays that come with it, and a peaceful Snow is very calming but again...Let's just say I would rather have Southern Cali weather instead of Northern Utah weather in the winter.

25- I have a very dry sense of humor but I can enjoy a good joke too.

A little while back my Mom and I went to San Francisco to have some fun and to escape the winter wonder snow of Utah! The architecture is beautiful, that was one thing that really surprised me. We had so Much fun we went to Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge, Haight Ashberry, the Crookedest street and of course we saw the painted Ladies!!

With a New Year, Most everyone has to celebrate and my family is NO exception. We Went down to Mesquite NV, had a little fun and went bowling! Not one of us is a Great Bowler, but it doe Bring back many memories of playing as a family in the many Bowling Centers we have been too. What is even nicer about January is that the Celebration from Christmas doesn't really stop. Most of my families birthdays are in January, So of course we had to celebrate with Red Lobster:) It is nice to be able to have all of these family get togethers because family is super important! I LOVE my family so much! And YEA for Celebrating!

The Funny things in life

So it is always strange how things work out. Falling on ice when no one is there and laughing till someone does arrive, or going to class on the first day just to realize that you have gone to wrong class 20 minutes in, then leaving because the professor states that it is better to be a little embarrassed than to waste your whole class time, then to find out that the guy you like was in that class and now teases you about it...Oh the funny things in life.
Now that you have had a laugh, I have a little venting to do, normally I am not a venter, but this I think needs to be gotten off of my mind. But if you really think about it, they are all things that can be laughed about, well most of them anyways...
Why do people have to think they are better than others? There is no point God loves everyone the same you are no better than me and I am no better than you.
Why is gossip such a big problem? If you have something to say to the person and not to everyone else because eventually that person will find out and then it is a big mess
Why won't some people forgive? I said I was sorry, but still you won't forgive...how ridiculous is that?
Why do people have to make so much drama? If you have a problem Resolve it, get over it move on.
What is the point of arguing someone's "point of view"? You can't make someone see it your way so agree to disagree.
Why do some people get so offended? Offense only makes you stop progressing, learn from it, forgive and move on.
What is the point of holding a grudge? It only makes for heartache, bitterness and sorrow on all sides of the playing field
Why are some people so insistent that you can't be "good" to enjoy life? You have your ways, I have mine, don't get angry that I don't swear, gamble, drink, or watch R rated movies. And I won't get angry that you do.
See it is all about the laughable things in life, these are all so petty when they are looked at from a written point of view, and yet, all these things cause destruction, war, feuds...etc.
No one is perfect, but I think if we all tried a little harder to not be offended, loved our neighbor and just tried to do our best, this world would be a little better.

Chirstmas week finale

Christmas was So much fun! We finished up our yearly traditions by going to Tuacahn, for our annual nativity party. Then on Sunday evening off to Grandma's house we went to have an early Christmas dinner with her. Her tree is always beautiful, and it is always fun to go to Grandmas house and spend time with her.
We had a surprise visit from my cousins Priscilla, Darren and their kids.We got to watch the kids open their gifts from Grandma, it was an added treat!
Christmas eve is always special at our house we light only the candles and the living room is always transformed into an enchanting Christmas area with white lights, a flocked tree and beautiful decorations. I love that my Mom always decorates, and that it is classy and enchanting! The family room is transformed into the "cabin area" with a green tree, multi-colored lights and old school/ home-made decorations. It was a little hard this year, being in rented home and all, but Mom did beautifully, she always does!
We were able to talk to my Brother Chase that evening, 11 pm to be exact, it was so nice to hear from him and to know that he is doing well in the Netherlands. We got his package from Holland and we all got Dutch gifts. And it was cool because he told us that people were more open to talk about the Savior now than at any other time, because of this time of year.
After we sat around and told Christmas stories that we have collected over the years. Then we got the best gift ever, a trip to Canada where we used to live in Vancouver. The next morning was fun, opening gifts,( the animals Powder, Juicy and even Dino got gifts too!). Then the real fun started... getting packed to leave for our trip.

Oh the weather outside is frightful! But the traditions are so Delightful!!

I have been Pretty Busy this December!! I am enjoying the weather, kind of, but I am glad it only comes around every once in a while. I love to visit the Snowy places of the North, but then I LOVE to come home to nice sunny St. George! Anyways we went up to Salt Lake and had some of our favorite traditions! We went to the Nutcracker Ballet at the Capitol Theatre in Downtown SLC. We went to Thanksgiving point and bought our annual Christmas ornament, got hot cocoa and saw the lights! We also saw the lights on Temple Square, it was COLD! Sunday morning we went to our annual Christmas concert of the Music and Spoken word. This year was especially neat because President Monson and Elder Uchtdorf were there with their wives, and President Monson even Spoke! In St. George we went to the nativity scene took some pictures of the snow. Christmas traditions are the best!!

Finals are about at there end, and the weather is cold, it can only mean one thing...CHRISTMAS is around the corner!!! I am SO excited! This semester has been one crazy Ride, some really HARD things have happened that got me really really discouraged and but I am feeling SO much better about everything now that these things are over. It is amazing how not all things work out, but one thing I have learned is that it is okay and the sun always rises. It feels like a new beginning is around the corner. I love Christmas time and the Spirit that comes with it. I love my roommates and have had such a blast with them this semester! I love my family, My Grandma, and my good friends!!

I got a letter from my brother Saying he needed some pictures of himself on and before his mission. so that he could have a Get to Know you Missionary. These are some of the ones I chose. My brother is One of the MOST amazing people I know. I am SO proud of all the accomplishments he has made in his life and how strong he is. He is in the Nederlands right now, but his mission includes Belgium and part of France. He is learning Dutch (And I thought I had it hard with Spanish). His mission is actually where the film the Best two years took place. This summer I was able to see him over there. I just can't believe what an Amazing brother I have, he never stops amazing me with just what a good kid he is. I sure do miss his good opinion. Anyways, here are some pics of his crazy adventures. October Break

This past little while, I have been trying to, "keep it all together" sorta say, and I REALLY REALLY needed to get away from it all. So My Mom (Liz), my sister (Alisa) and I ran away to Sunny California and went to Disneyland where the World can be left behind. We had an excellent time we even made it to all of our favorite rides, going on some of them twice :) We also went to Huntington Beach and spent a day on the Beach, mind you now that it is October, so it was a little chilly, but in my way of looking at things, perfect. I wish I could move back there, that was a time in my life when things were going really Great, and life seemed like a rose. I was young, and went back in the summer when we moved to Utah, but I would like to live there once more. We went by our old home and I thought about all the memories that were there. I Love California and though Utah is Great and all... if I had the Chance, I would move back with out batting a lash. But alas it was only a trip and I have to come back and think about all the TONS of homework and other worldly things. Here are the pics :)

Denver/Anderelli's Cinderella Wedding!

So I got to spend one of the best weekends of my life with one of my mission companion's, "Anderelli" was the nickname I gave her in our first or second week together, we became know as Anderelli and Spurs. (We even got T-shirts with the place we served together with our names on the back.) It truly was a Cinderella weekend, though there were no evil step sisters or anything like that. I fell in love with her family! They are some of the most loving people. That was one thing that I loved about Anderson is that she LOVED everyone unconditionally (Even Comps who at first didn't want to be in a small out of the freaking way FAR away town.) So anyways back to the Wedding, Miracles do happen as Jessie found out, it was pouring rain the day of the wedding and prayers were said and heard and answered and it was beautiful blue sky. Jeanette Smoot another one of her comapnions, sang at the wedding it was beautiful, she sang "God blessed the broken road."We also got to hang out with our new Aussie friend Anthony who was also our chauffeur for the weekend. And I got to meet another Amazing person Sheleena who was the maid of honor, she really inspired me that weekend, it was fascinating to speak with her. Anyways, Jessie is an amazing fellow, him and Alisa are so perfect for each other. I was so glad I was able to go to such a fun loving place and witness what has become one of my favorite weddings in my book.

So this past little while, I have been contemplating my past and have been doing, well it's not soul searching, but that comes the closest I guess. I cannot believe how wonderful my life is turning out. There are so many things that I dreamed of doing and never really thought they would come to pass...(inside joke), but many of them have, and are "coming to pass." After high school, I went to London for a month and enjoyed spending time with my Mom, Liz, and seeing all the amazing things the British have to offer. Then I came back and went to College @ Dixie. Then an amazing experience happened when I was 19. I was with a bunch of friends and several of the guys were either getting ready to go on a mission or had just gotten back from their mission. So we started talking about missions. I kinda put it out there that if I wasn't married, I would like to serve. Ryan, looked at me and said, "Naw, you'll be married by then." A really strong feeling came over me and I knew I was going to serve a mission. So in Dec of my 20th birthday, I got everything together so that I could turn my papers in 3 months before my birthday. I got my call in May, and was called to the Texas San Antonio Mission, Spanish Speaking. That was the last place I ever thought I would be called to, and really had to pray to know that, that was where I was supposed to go. And of course it was, I had never had more feelings of joy, happiness and hard learned growth, as I did while I was on my mission. I had some experiences that changed me forever and the better. So that dream was fulfilled and another was just around the corner, I got to go to travel a lot. Seeing Dallas, Washington D.C., The Sacred Grove, Niagara Falls, having fun in one of my favorite cities: Las Vegas going back to my mission in Austin and San Antonio, and going back to where I grew up in California, then ending with a trip to Europe (Germany and the Netherlands) seeing friends and my brother. Then with school, finding the right school that fits my area of emphasis in communications (Not Journalism). Then seeing things for my family work out has been the biggest blessing of them all. We have so much fun together and they are my best friends what person wouldn't want that dream fulfilled? To be able to jam out with their parents and syblings and to just talk and go places even in town and make an adventure out of it there isn't much more I could ask for in that department. I know I am rambling, but Sometimes its just nice to put it out there that with friends and family: LIFE is truely Wonderful!

This past week, I was able to go to Europe to do some R&R before school starts. From everything that has been going on in my life, it was nice to run away from it all for a little bit and get totally away. I went to Germany and Holland. I went to Frankfurt, took a train and ended in Amsterdam. I also got permission to see my Brother Chase who is on a mission speaking Dutch, in Belgium and Holland. It was a much needed time to think and rejuvenate.

The Sacred Grove

Okay, so this last week, I think has been my most favorite for trips! I had some awesome experiences and some really neat things happen. My Mom and I went to upper state New York, we flew into JFK, and got too see New York (That trip is being saved for the fall) from the air while flying to Rochester. We went to Palmyra and saw the Hill Cumorah Pageant, that was so AMAZING! The cast has over 700 member, I think it was a little more than the cast out at Tuacahn...(inside joke!) We went and saw the Sacred Grove and where it all started, to think I stood where Joseph Smith was and to know that his prayer to God was answered. Wow! When we went through Rochester, No wonder he was confused! There were so many different churches looming on every corner. Then we drove through all these really cute towns I loved all the houses, it was refreshing from the southwest, they reminded me of old Santa Clara before the southwest took over. We also saw the Erie Canal, that was crazy, No wonder why people in the East can't fathom what a drought is there is SO much water there. I have heard of the Erie canal since I was small and have always wanted to see it, and some of little shops of the North East. My testimony was rekindled this week in not only the church but in Heavenly Father, looking at all the Beauty, how can people deny that there is a God in Heaven? I will never understand. I am so thankful for Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon and how they testify of Christ and how to be able to withstand all the bad that is in the world, cause there is a lot of it. I love how the Gospel not only helps people believe, but it also changes them to be better. I know for a fact that without the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I would be a totally different person and would have fallen way back in jr high. Heavenly Father knows when to send the right people in our lives to help us along the way. It was cool, listening to the story of Oliver Cowdry and how he came to Joseph Smith, and how he helped him. Though Joseph didn't need to change, it reminded me of how three very special girls and many Young Women leaders who were put in my path in jr high to help me decide which path I was going to take. And how I know that my Mom is supposed to be my Mother because of all we have been through all the guidance she has given me, just like Joseph's Mom did him. :) I m so eternally Grateful to them and to Heavenly Father for putting them in my path. Wow this post is getting long, so I will stop and put pictures on the next post :)

So This week was so much Fun my Mom, Alisa Janet and I decided to get away, it was relaxing and rejuvenating. We spent time at the pool, walked around on Fremont street and the Strip. We had Lobster dinner and shopped at the Forum stores in Caesar's Palace. We stayed at the Venetian and saw the Phantom of the Opera. I saw the whole production in London a few years back, and this was the mainly the highlights, This one was SO good! The Costumes were incredible and the theater was almost as incredible as Her Majesty's Royal Theater. Good Job Vegas! We also went to a Girls' dream place. It was the Beauty-Hair-Spa-Make-up show! This was my first year going and I loved every bit of it! This was a nice relaxing fun Girlie weekend :)

Revisiting San Antonio/Austin

Okay so I am a little late in posting, My Birthday was last week! I still feel like I should be 20 just getting ready for my mission. Instead, I got the best Birthday Present ever from my Mom, and we went back. Now those who know me know that I have been trying to get back there for like since I left! I was even supposed to meet some old friends back there but I never could make it...So I opened a present and in it was two tickets! So we went for the weekend We had breakfast on the River Walk then went on the Gondolas, Alamo, and the temple in San Antonio, then we went up to San Marcos because of the rain and found the Best Shopping Outlets ever. There is like everything from Waterford to Neiman Marcas, Gucci, LACOSTE, and so much more! Then after the rain we went up to Austin saw the Capital, then had dinner on the Austin River. On Sunday We went to Church in Barton Creek and saw Kazuyoshi Hayashi, Cindy is Healing(Keep her in your prayers) Then it was time to come back home :( I was really sad to go, but I know that I will visit again!

Washington DC

Wow! So this past week has been full of crazy adventures!! My Mom and I went to Washington DC, and had a BLAST! We saw the white house and all the Monuments! So the first thing, we arrive in the morning and it is totally foggy, can't see 10 feet ahead of you, and Mom and I are like okay where are all the Monuments. So we ask a Police officer who kept telling us that they were right in front of us, so he tells us to go out to Mount Vernon and come back in about 2hrs so we head out there and have a terrific time, come back, and YUP the Monuments were right in front of us, bot did we feel like Blondes, the officer even gave us his number and told us to call him if we got lost! So the rest of the Trip is SO AMAZING besides the weather (98 with 60% humidity!)! We saw almost all the sights and we even made it to the Washington DC Temple! So ur trip is done, or so we thought, we had a horrendous time trying to get back because of the tornado's there were 6! The night we got out, we flew through a storm, our pilot was Amazing! And we had to spend the night in Denver, and flew to Salt Lake to St. George! It was an experience to remember, but it really reaffirmed my belief in America and what she stands for! Huntington Beach

So this weekend was a real learning experience! Mom wanted to go to the Orange County Swap Meet (A huge Flea Market) for the day. So we flew down to LAX and we had lots of fun, Mom Got a Tiki, he is so cute! Then we went down to our hometown Huntington Beach:) I miss it down there a lot, we stopped in at our old neighbors said hello then went down and walked on the Beach. We also went to the Surf Museum and saw some pretty cool stuff. It was pretty cool cause my Dad is a surfer and his friend Bob aka the Greek makes these surfboards that are legendary. We also took some pictures of some houses that we love and a Jacaranda tree, they only bloom at a certain time (right now) and the rest of the year they are green.
So we were going to only spend a day there (Saturday) and come back that night, however because of the car rental's shuttle bus, we missed our flight by five minutes...So we stayed that night and we drove down Rodeo Drive where all the AMAZING shopping is done by the Stars, so that was fun. We then got up really early and our flights were at different times, I stayed the whole day in the airport! That was fun.... It was a really relaxing weekend though, and I had fun hanging out with my Mom!!

Memorial Weekend

So Memorial weekend was CRAZY FUN, it started out that My Mom and I were supposed to go to San Antonio, I had somehow gone blonde and didn't realize the Memorial Day was a week early or that the 26 was Memorial Day, I thought it was the next weekend, so a while ago like more than a month, I plan the trip. We are in Denver waiting for our flight and waiting and our flight gets canceled because of the tornado weather...Then the all the flights thereafter are booked! Totally Blonde! I didn't realize that the Spurs were playing the Lakers, I thought the game was in LA. So we flew to LA went out to Dinner came home. My Grandma wanted to go to her childhood hometown, so we decided to go there. We got up this morning to rain, we are in Enterprise and it is raining sleet, I'm like we are not going to make it, however, we continued on and when we got to Pioche it was partly cloudy and really pretty but kinda cold, glad I brought my jacket! So we spent a beautiful day in Pioche looking at the old history of the town and I really learned a lot!

Dallas, Texas

So, I have just gotten back from Dallas, Texas, and had so much fun! Texas is one of my favorite places to visit. I am very partial to Texas :). While there, I got to spend some time with my nephew Nasa. I got to see my niece Kaiia, for the first time, she is adorable. I also went ice skating, and got a massive welt on my leg from the skates! It is funny though cause the only times I have been ice skating is when I am in Hot Texas go figure that one? I also got to see the Dallas Cowboys practice, and I saw some big guys that all the guys would know their names, but I really can't remember, Crystal will be disappointed in me, but oh well... It was kinda weird to see the spot that JFK was shot at, there are memorials all over the place, and a X marks the spot. So I now say good-bye to beautiful Dallas, and Hello my beautiful St. George!

Well, I am trying this out, not too sure what's up with the blogging stuff, and I am about to start traveling around the world, and it is kinda fun to post stuff!
